Health & Safety Training

Reimbursement Application Process

Funded by the California Department of Education, Child Development Division

Tulare County Child Care Resource & Referral Services has received a contract from the California Department of Education, Child Development Division to reimburse providers for health and safety training taken between July 1, 2002 and June 30, 2003.

To be eligible for reimbursement, participants must live and work in Tulare County. Funds are limited and reimbursements will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. If we receive your application and funds are no longer available, your application will be returned to you.

Trainings that can be reimbursed are:

Infant and Child CPR
Infant and Child First Aid
Preventative Health Training

The training must be taken from an approved Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) training institution or trainer.

Each participant may receive up to $65 for health and safety training. For example, if the Infant and Child CPR class cost $50, reimbursement will be $45. However, providers may include the amount they pay for CPR cards or stickers as part of the total cost of health and safety training. The reimbursement will be based on the total cost, less a $5 co-pay for each training segment.
