Grades K - 2 See a preview of this program At Your Service spotlights Tulare County producers of goods and services in the past and present, including segments on world geography, historical factors, job descriptions, resources and consumption. 35 minutes
Grades K - 2 See a preview of this program What is America and what does it mean to be an American? This presentation explores some answers while exciting visuals and patriotic music heighten the student's awareness of our country's heritage. 25 minutes
Grades 5 - 8 See a preview of this program A class assignment prompts Amy and her friend, Chris, to visit the library. The assignment concerns the U.S. Constitution - the physical atmosphere and the emotions of the people who witnessed its creation. Chris and Amy talk with a librarian and learn what the Constitution means to all of us. 58 minutes
Grade 3 See a preview of this program The story of Tulare County is resplendent with variety. This is so whether we consider its history, geography, agriculture, education, industry, cities or its people. This exciting program examines these variances and how each has contributed to the growth and progress of Tulare County. 52 minutes
The Story of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks Grades 3 & up See a preview of this program Over 1300 square miles of Tulare and Fresno Counties are preserved in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Local residents led the battle to save these world-class preserves. Now our actions may help keep them forever. This exciting program examines the history, biology and spectacular scenery of our national parks next door. 48 minutes
Grade 3 See a preview of this program Many different tribes of Native Americans populated the United States from coast to coast. Students will learn about the various Native American groups and how they lived. A concentrated study of the California Indians and the Tulare County area Yokuts tribes is included. 35 minutes
Grade 4 See a preview of this program Students take a virtual field trip to the California Missions to uncover the importance of the Spanish influence on California history and the Native American Indians. 51 minutes
Christmas Traditions Around the World Grades K - 2 Christmas customs and winter season traditions from around the world are examined in this special holiday presentation. Students learn that, although people in different countries do not celebrate this festive occasion in the same way, it is always a very special time of the year for people all around the world. 23 minutes
